Valle-Inclán Museum
The Valle-Inclán Museum is located in the Torre de Bermúdez, a building that was declared a national historic-artistic monument in 1976. It is a Renaissance palace that is located among the most exceptional residences of the northwest of the peninsula and belongs to the writer’s paternal family.
If it is true that Ramón del Valle-Inclán was not born in Pobra do Caramiñal, he spent long periods living in this town, specifically between 1916 and 1925, in which he wrote several important works such as Luces de bohemia or Divinas palabras, among others.
In this museum, which is owned by the municipality, you can find interesting articles related to his work: first and second original editions of his works, personal belongings, photographs of the period, documentation, works of art, original furniture from his different houses and even clothes used in different theatrical performances.
